Delhi enter final of North Zone Dutta Roy U 21 football

Haldwani, May 2 (UNI) Delhi entered the final of the North Zone qualifying round of the 16th under 21 National Football Championship for Dutta Roy Trophy, beating Haryana 4-2 via tie breaker in the semi-final here today.

The penalty shootout was resorted to after both the sides were goalless in the regulation and extra times.

Kulbushan, Rajiv Karmakar, Anand William and Ishant Singh found the target for Delhi while only Rohit and Biswajit scored for Haryana in the tie breaker.

Delhi will play the winner of tomorrow's second semi-final between Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir.

The final is scheduled for May 5 and the winner will qualify for the national championship to be held in Guwahati.
