Didier Deschamps remains optimistic about Kylian Mbappe's return to form despite his recent goal drought. The French national team secured a 2-0 victory over Belgium in the Nations League, with goals from Randal Kolo Muani and Ousmane Dembele. Mbappe, who came off the bench, had four shots but failed to score for the fifth consecutive game for Les Bleus.
Mbappe recently scored twice for Real Madrid in LaLiga before the international break. Deschamps believes that Mbappe will soon regain his scoring prowess. "Kylian feels good. Obviously, like almost all players, he is not yet at 100%," Deschamps told TF1. "His dry spell? Knowing his demands on that... Kylian will score goals."

Deschamps emphasized that the French team is stronger with Mbappe and expects him to improve within a month. "There are very high demands in his club. With us, he fully assumes his role as captain, even when he is not playing. I have no worries with Kylian," he added.
The French team had a lacklustre Euro 2024 campaign and suffered a defeat to Italy in their opening Nations League match last week. Although they bounced back with a win against Belgium, fans expressed their dissatisfaction by booing and whistling at Deschamps during the game.
Deschamps addressed the criticism calmly but acknowledged its potential impact on the team. "I didn't hear the whistles," he said. "But you know, I'm not going to say that I was born with criticism, but it's part of the game, it's my responsibility."
He continued, "It doesn't have an influence on me, but on the players, the environment... When we come, we support the French team, so the whistles... That people are unhappy, disappointed, that they show it, why not, but now when the players are on the field... I don't think it's for the good of the French team."
Despite these challenges, Deschamps remains focused on guiding France through their Nations League campaign and helping Mbappe rediscover his scoring touch.
