Yan Diomande is attracting strong interest from Bayern Munich and Liverpool, yet the winger insists RB Leipzig remains the club that matters most right now. The 19-year-old is starring in the Bundesliga, but Diomande stresses that full concentration stays on current performances for Leipzig.
Speculation around Liverpool grows because the Premier League club view Diomande as a long-term option if Mohamed Salah leaves. Reports in Germany state Arne Slot’s staff are monitoring the teenager closely. However, Diomande explains that the Liverpool talk comes largely from family wishes rather than any concrete move.

Diomande clarified that stories about Liverpool being a childhood dream were overstated. "People made it out to be my dream club. But first and foremost, it's my dad's favourite club," Diomande told BILD when the Liverpool rumours were put to him. "It was always his great wish to see me there someday because he loves the atmosphere at Anfield. He always raved about Steven Gerrard. I was too young to see him play. We didn't even have a TV at home for a long time." Diomande then underlined loyalty to present employers by saying: "I have a lot of respect for Liverpool, but my dream club right now is Leipzig."
The winger’s form explains why leading clubs track progress. Diomande tops the 2025-26 Bundesliga for completed dribbles, with team-mate Antonio Nusa next. Diomande also ranks among the most creative wide players, alongside Michael Olise, Luis Diaz and Romano Schmid, who stand out for chance creation from open play.

Despite Bayern Munich’s interest and the presence of former Premier League players there, Diomande dismisses any immediate transfer talk. "It's always nice to hear something like that," he added on the Bayern links. "But I haven't spoken to anyone from Bayern. It's not the right time for that. I'm happy here in Leipzig and want to remain fully focused." That stance keeps attention on RB Leipzig’s season rather than any possible move within the Bundesliga or to Liverpool.
