Oriental Cup 2025: Dominant Wins For DPS Vasant Kunj And DAV Sahibabad On Day 2

Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj showcased their prowess on the second day of the Oriental Cup 2025 at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium. They triumphed over Vinay Nagar Bengali Sr Sec School in both boys' and girls' categories.

Meanwhile, DAV Public School, Sahibabad, and DPS, RK Puram also secured impressive victories in the boys' category. Government Girls Senior Secondary School excelled in the girls' matches

Sapphire International School, Noida began the day with a 2-0 win against Tagore International School in the boys' match. Atharv Singh scored both goals. In the girls' match between these schools, Tagore International emerged victorious 3-2 on penalties after a goalless draw during regular play.

The boys from DPS Vasant Kunj won 2-0 with goals from Vihaan Mani and Krishna Kumar. The girls' team dominated with a 4-0 victory. Ayushi Gupta scored twice while Aisha Nair and Aarna Arora each added a goal. DAV Public School, Sahibabad defeated Father Agnel School, Noida 3-1 with goals from Shriansh Nath Tiwari and Sagar Laha, plus an own goal by Father Agnel's team.

DPS RK Puram's boys had a successful outing with a 4-1 win over Bluebells School. Arhan Gupta scored twice, supported by Afraaz Tariq and Jeenesh Vasandani's goals. Veer Kashyap netted for Bluebells. However, DPS RK Puram's girls lost to Government Girls Senior Secondary School 2-0 due to goals from Palak and Nidhi.

The Oriental Cup continues with more knockout matches and second-round fixtures as teams aim to gain momentum for the title. Day 3 will feature an exhibition match between MIMA and STRIVE in the girls' category, followed by a boys' match between DAV Faridabad and St. Francis De Sales Sr Sec. School.

St Francis School will play again later against Navy School in the girls' category. Venkateshwar International will face Greenfields Public School while Gov. Sarvodaya Co-ed plays Heritage Global in the boys' category.

Continued Participation and Support

Returning for their second-round fixtures are teams from Mother's International School, Sanskriti International School, Amity International (Noida), The Air Force School (Subroto Park), and Tagore International (Girls). This promises another day of competitive football at the Oriental Cup.

The Oriental Cup is recognised by the Delhi Soccer Association for its contribution to grassroots football development. It provides school teams with structured competition in a professional environment.
