Bengaluru, November 29: Manchester United starlet Angel Gomes has reportedly developed an interest from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund after linking himself with another European giant, Barcelona earlier.
The 17-year-old's excellent display for United's youth side got the attention of Barcelona a year ago but now according to The Sun, Dortmund too have joined the race for his signature.

Dortmund's approach of signing Europe's promising youngsters saw them acquiring Jadon Sancho from Manchester City in the Summer as a free transfer with nominal agent fee earlier. And just like Sancho, the Bundesliga side is also believed to be enquiring for Gomes for a January transfer who has so far refused to sign a new contract with United.

Last season, in the last game of the season, Mourinho gave the England U-17 star his Manchester United winning debut against Crystal Palace where the England international became the youngest ever player to make an appearance for United's first-team when aged just 16 years and 263 days.
Gomes has shown promise to be a world beater in the academy since last year and also became the club's U-18 player of the year, winning the Jimmy Murphy trophy. The youngster is also the top scorer in the current United U-19 set-up.
The youngster who joined the United academy while at Junior school has also captained England national side at youth level. The 17-year-old who is yet to sign a senior contract with Manchester United, is believed to be top choice for both La Liga and Bundesliga clubs as they are scouting and addressing the situation continuously.

The attacker was poised to sign his first senior professional contract earlier, but nothing has been finalised yet. Gomes still has a year left as a Scholar at United and clubs are currently restricted from agreeing on a deal to lure the forward away. However it is believed that a deal will soon be concluded by United to fend off interest.
However, until a deal is signed the Red Devils followers will be a little worried about one of their eminent prospects.
