Dortmund, Sep 27: Borussia Dortmund take on defending champions and La Liga giants Real Madrid in a crucial Group F encounter on Tuesday night (September 27).

Dortmund started their Champions League 2016/17 season on a high as they thrashed Legia Warsaw 6-0 in the opening match. Real Madrid's title defending campaign on the other hand was off to shaky start as they came from behind to win the game 2-1 against Sporting CP.

After an unsteady start to the season, Thomas Tuchel's Dortmund have registered back to back 4 matches on the trot. A win tonight would definitely boost their confidence further in the competition.

Real Madrid were off to a flying start this season until last week. They succumbed to back to back draws against Villarreal and Las Palmas. Zidane's men will look forward to registering a win to revive their form.

Borussia Dortmund will miss the sevices of important players like Marco Reus, Neven Subotic, Erik Durm and Sven Bender due to injuries.

Players like Andre Schurrle, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Marc Bartra are doubtful due to knee injuries. But as it seems Aubameyang might start in tonight's clash.

Real Madrid will miss the services of defender Marcelo due to a calf injury, Casemiro (leg injury) and Pepe knee injury.

Alvaro Morata is likely to replace Karim Benzema upfront and bring in James Rodriguez and Matteo Kovacic in the midfield.
