As football returns to the JRD Tata Sports Complex after more than four months, Jamshedpur FC have named a 28-member squad for the 2025 Durand Cup, with midfielder Pronay Halder and foreigner Rei Tachikawa set to lead the team.
The club has strengthened the squad with experienced players and youngsters to mount a serious challenge in the prestigious tournament, following last year's group stage exit in heartbreaking fashion.

Jamshedpur's campaign begins on Wednesday against Tribhuvan Army FC of Nepal, and the squad list released today shows intent. Eleven new signings are included, combining seasoned Indian campaigners with exciting emerging talent. Former East Bengal FC defenders Nishu Kumar, Sarthak Golui, and Jestin George strengthen the backline, while the midfield sees the return of Germanpreet Singh from injury alongside Vincy Barretto, who adds pace and directness.
The forward line is bolstered by the additions of Manvir Singh, Suhair VP, and Daniel Lalhlimpuia-all proven domestic attackers. Also named is promising teenager Lawmsangzuala from JFC U17 team, who finished as the top scorer in the Reliance Foundation Development League.
Jamshedpur FC have retained their key performers from last season, including goalkeeper Albino Gomes, defenders Pratik Chaudhari and Ashutosh Mehta, midfield anchors Mobashir Rahman and Sourav Das, and attacking wide players Mohammed Sanan and Sreekuttan VS. Rei Tachikawa, one of two foreigners in the squad alongside Stephen Eze, is expected to link up with the team soon.
