Mohun Bagan have made the finals in each of the last two Durand Cup seasons. In 2023, they triumphed over East Bengal in a dramatic final. In 2024, they narrowly lost to NorthEast United in a tense penalty shootout. With their rich history and a star-studded squad, MBSG continue to be the benchmark for club football in India.
After completing a domestic double last season - winning both the ISL Shield and the ISL Cup - the Mariners have firmly asserted their dominance in Indian football. Their consistency across competitions has elevated them to the top of the country's football hierarchy.
With another title within reach, Mohun Bagan will look to begin their 2025 Durand Cup journey with purpose and continue their remarkable legacy in one of Asia's oldest football tournaments.
