East Bengal coach Carles Cuadrat is hopeful that his team will play with all guns blazing in the upcoming season and has called for bravery from his troops.
The Spanish coach has already started preparations as the team started training in Kolkata for the new season. After a near miss in the ISL playoffs last year and a Kalinga Super Cup victory, the Red and Gold Brigade is aiming to reach greater heights.

Coach Cuadrat has been instrumental in Emami East Bengal's upsurge and has already bolstered his squad with some terrific signings. Dimitrios Diamantakos, Madih Talal have been the key foreign recruitments, while Jeakson Singh and David Lalhlansanga have been their key Indian recruits this season.
Emami East Bengal will also play in Asia after winning the Kalinga Super Cup, and coach Cuadrat is hopeful for a big season for the club.
"Playing in Asia after so many years will allow us to represent the club and the country at the continent level. This is motivating everyone to bring more quality to the squad. Emami Group is extremely receptive to all our demands and have responded in the best way possible. I can assure the fans that we are in the right process," Cuadrat said recently.
Apart from the ever-improving first team squad, the objective of revitalizing the youth system continues at the club and the Spaniard has kept a close eye on that. The East Bengal youth team finished runners-up in the RFDL tournament last season and will travel to England to play in the Next Gen Cup. And Cuadrat stressed the importance of youth development.
"We have also got some talented youngsters in the B team who are excelling in tournaments like the Calcutta Football League and the Reliance Foundation Development League. Youth development is a major aspect of our project and our
youngsters are justifying our faith in them by earning promotions to the first team, getting playing time, scoring goals and providing assists," he added.
When asked about the team combination and depth, East Bengal coach said their happiness about the current squad but also confirmed that one final player is likely to arrive at the club before the transfer window closes.
The Kolkata giants are improving as the seasons progress and Cuadrat believes the team will have to be brave to get over the line and achieve their objectives. The East Bengal professor even cited Pep Guardiola and urged his team to fight in the upcoming season.
"We have to be brave. We have to run more than the opponent and we have to be more physical than the opponent, that's very clear. In football you don't win with equality, you have to make a mix of things that give you the victory and that's a very clear message and we understand that. If you don't fight, if you don't run, there is nothing to do with that kind of top squad. Even if you see Pep Guardiola, he's demanding the same," Cuadrat concluded.
