East Bengal coach Carles Cuadrat showcased his footballing skills along with his coaching staff and players in the East Bengal training on Tuesday (August 20).
The Kolkata giants are set to take on Shillong Lajong in the Durand Cup 2024 quarterfinal on Wednesday, and the entire team had a training session on Tuesday. The training took place at the Meghalaya Football Association Turf, adjacent to the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong.

The Red and Gold Brigade had a good training session under the watchful eyes of Cuadrat and his staff. But during the pre-training warmup, Cuadrat was in his own zone, showcasing his football skills.
Cleiton Silva, Anwar Ali, Dimitri Diamantakos and others were put into fitness drills at one side of the practice ground. And before the start of the team training, Cuadrat brought about his playing skills.

The East Bengal head coach, along with assistant Dimas Delgado, was playing along at the ground. Cuadrat was quite natural with receiving the pass and also showed his ball control and juggling skills. He was seen in a light mood as he kept on exchanging passes with Delgado at the ground, some of which were pretty impressive as well.
The Red and Gold Brigade will be aiming to secure a passage to the semis as they take on the Meghalaya club. The Kolkata Derby got cancelled on Sunday (August 20) as the West Bengal government cited 'security reasons' amid a public uproar on the aftermath of the rape and murder of medical personnel at the R G Kar Hospital.
Although East Bengal have won their two group matches in the Durand Cup, they were ousted from the AFC Champions League 2 qualifiers after a 2-3 defeat against Turkmenistan club Altyn Asyr.
Under Cuadrat's tutelage, East Bengal reached the final of the Durand Cup last year but lost to arch-rivals Mohun Bagan SG in the final. If they win against Lajong, the Torch Bearers will face either Northeast United or Army Red in the semifinal.
