'We are Prepared': East Bengal coach Antonio Lopez Habas hints at Changes for Inter Kashi clash, admits 'Positive' vibe

East Bengal head coach Antonio Lopez Habas has hinted at a few changes to his starting lineup ahead of their Indian Super League (ISL) fixture against Inter Kashi, while expressing confidence in the depth and readiness of his squad following a convincing 4-0 victory over Churchill Brothers.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Habas indicated that although he could rotate his players, the changes would be limited, with several members of the squad ready to make the most of their opportunities.

We are Prepared Antonio Lopez Habas Hints at Changes for Inter Kashi clash

"We will make a few changes, but not many. We have plenty of players ready to take their chance," Habas said at the pre-match press conference.

The statement suggests that East Bengal could make adjustments to manage the demands of a busy fixture schedule without making wholesale changes to a side that began its campaign with an emphatic result.

The Kolkata-based club will look to carry that momentum into their next outing against Inter Kashi. However, Habas stressed that the team must continue to work on its shortcomings despite the positive start.

"There is always something to improve. We have a positive feeling ahead after winning the first match so comprehensively. All the players are prepared," he added.

East Bengal's 4-0 win over Churchill Brothers provided an encouraging start, but Habas made it clear that the team cannot afford to become complacent. His comments underline the importance of maintaining standards and ensuring that every player remains ready as the season progresses.

Habas Highlights Demands of a Busy Schedule

With East Bengal required to balance domestic commitments with their continental ambitions, squad management could prove crucial in the coming weeks. Habas acknowledged the importance of keeping his players fit and available as matches begin to arrive in quick succession.

"We are prepared. I hope we don't suffer an injury which may force us to change our plans."

The East Bengal head coach also highlighted the challenge of competing across tournaments, including the ISL and the AFC Champions League Two (ACL Two). He believes the club must be prepared to perform in both competitions while adapting to the demands of a congested calendar.

"A team that wants to win trophies has to be prepared for the matches," he concluded.

East Bengal Look to Maintain Momentum Against Inter Kashi

The clash against Inter Kashi will provide East Bengal with another opportunity to build on their comprehensive win over Churchill Brothers. After a 4-0 win over the Goan side in the last match, the Torch Bearers will be aiming to make it conseuctive ISL wins before their trip to Oman for the AFC Champions League 2 encounter.
