East Bengal defender Aleksandar Pantic is available for selection in the upcoming ISL match against Jamshedpur FC, as was revealed by coach Carles Cuadrat on Wednesday.
The Serbian defender is one of East Bengal's three new foreigners who joined the January Transfer Window. Pantic knew the East Bengal coach during their AEL Limassol days in Cyprus and says the decision was easy for him to join the Kolkata club.

"I spoke a lot with the coach and with the friends who have played here. It was an easy decision for me to join the club," Pantic said in a press conference on Wednesday.
"It is my first time in India. I spoke with my friend who played here and I know my club is one of the best and biggest in India. The atmosphere, the stadium and the support are big. I don't know a lot but I know some things," the East Bengal defender added.
He is the first-ever Serbian to play for the Red and Gold Brigade. But it was a friend of his in Cyprus who poured a lot of good words about East Bengal in his ears.
When asked, Pantic revealed that former East Bengal player Charalambos Kyriakou, who played at the Kolkata club last season, was the one who introduced about the club to him.
Kyriakou and Pantic know each other as they played at AEL Limassol in 2021. Kyriakou, who is a Cyprus international, played 24 matches for the ISL club last year and talked big about his former employers to Pantic.
