East Bengal owners have sent a strong message in their team unveiling programme, promising bigger investment and a streamlined approach to reach greater heights in coming years.
The Emami East Bengal club hosted their team unveiling for this season on Monday (July 24) at the Emami Art Gallery (aka Kolkata Centre for Creativity) in Kolkata.

Head coach Carles Cuadrat, Emami directors Aditya Vardhan Agarwal and Manish Goenka were present at the event. And from his speech, Agarwal depicted the plans on which they have worked to strengthen the team this season.
There was apprehension among East Bengal supporters regarding the investment from the owners, but the Red and Gold Brigade have invested heavily on some top players this season. The top goalscorer of ISL last season Dimitri Diamantakos, and the assist topper Madih Talal - both have joined the club this season. Apart from that, Jeakson Singh, David Lalhlansanga are two other magnificent signings for the Kolkata club.
"When we came aboard as East Bengal's investor in 2022, we promised to the
club and the fans that we would leave no stone unturned to bring back the days of glory. While the Super Cup victory was a testament to our hard work and dedication to the club, the upcoming season will be even more important for us with Emami East Bengal qualifying for the AFC stage. Keeping the long season in mind, we have tried to forge a squad that can challenge for multiple titles," Agarwal said at the event.
"At the same time, we are working steadfastly and wholeheartedly to develop young talents so that we can contribute more players to Indian football in the coming days," he added.
Incidentally, East Bengal's youth team has been in excellent touch. They finished 2nd in the RFDL Cup last season, which means the youngsters will take part in the Next Gen Cup in England. Also, the young brigade of East Bengal has made a fabulous start in the Calcutta Football League this season.
The East Bengal owners also spoke very passionately about understanding the pulse of Bengalis and their connection with sports. Having represented many sportspersons in the country, Agarwal spoke about understanding the pulse of the supporters and urged them to support the team through thick and thin.
East Bengal will commence their journey with the Durand Cup this season. Carles Cuadrat's men are in Group A of the tournament along with Mohun Bagan, Downtown Heroes FC and Indian Air Force.
