East Bengal have completed the signing of Indian international winger Bipin Singh Thounaojam on a two-year contract, with an option to extend for an additional year. The 29-year-old joins the Kolkata giants on a free transfer after a successful seven-year stint with Mumbai City FC. He will don the jersey number 29 for the Red & Gold Brigade.

Bipin brings a wealth of experience and a winning pedigree, having played a pivotal role in Mumbai City FC's golden era. He won two Indian Super League (ISL) Shields and two ISL Cups, while also becoming the club's most-capped player with 158 appearances. With 28 goals and 17 assists, he ranks second on the club's all-time top scorers list. Notably, Bipin scored in two ISL finals - 2021 and 2024.

On the international front, Bipin made his India debut on March 25, 2021, in a 1-1 draw against Oman, and was part of the Tri-Nation Series-winning squad in 2023.

Sharing his excitement about this new chapter, Bipin said, "I am honored to join this historic club. I promise to give my all for this badge and contribute to East Bengal's success with goals and assists. I am eager to play and win derbies for my club, win trophies, and create lasting memories for the incredible East Bengal fans."

The talented player is set to play a key part for the Red and Gold brigade as they look to bounce back in the new season.
