East Bengal have completed the signing of Indian international winger Bipin Singh Thounaojam on a two-year contract, with an option to extend for an additional year. The 29-year-old joins the Kolkata giants on a free transfer after a successful seven-year stint with Mumbai City FC. He will don the jersey number 29 for the Red & Gold Brigade.
Bipin brings a wealth of experience and a winning pedigree, having played a pivotal role in Mumbai City FC's golden era. He won two Indian Super League (ISL) Shields and two ISL Cups, while also becoming the club's most-capped player with 158 appearances. With 28 goals and 17 assists, he ranks second on the club's all-time top scorers list. Notably, Bipin scored in two ISL finals - 2021 and 2024.

A dynamic winger renowned for his pace, dribbling flair, and goal-scoring instinct, Bipin has featured in 141 ISL matches, netting 27 goals and assisting 12 times. In the 2024-25 ISL season, he made 21 appearances and found the net once.
Starting his professional journey with Shillong Lajong FC in 2012, the Manipur-born player moved to ATK in 2017, before joining Mumbai City FC in 2018, where he emerged as a key figure over the years. On the international front, Bipin made his India debut on March 25, 2021, in a 1-1 draw against Oman, and was part of the Tri-Nation Series-winning squad in 2023.
