East Bengal Football Club has announced the signing of Jeakson Singh on a four-year deal on Friday (July 20).
The midfielder has arrived at the Kolkata club from Kerala Blasters and is set to stay at East Bengal till 2028.

Hailing from Manipur, Jeakson has been a mainstay in the Indian national team's midfield over the past three years. The 23-year-old defensive midfielder has played 22 matches for the national team so far and was a vital part of the Blue Tigers' triumphant SAFF Championship (2021, 2023), Tri-Nation Series (2023) and Intercontinental Cup (2023) squads.
India's first and only scorer at a FIFA World Cup (against Colombia at 2017 U-17 FIFA World Cup), Jeakson honed his skills at the Chandigarh Football Academy and the Minerva Academy during his formative years, before joining Kerala Blasters in the 2018-19 season. The youngster also spent two seasons on loan at the Indian Arrows. He established his place for the Manjappada in the 2019-20 season and has played 78 matches for them.
The 23-year-old played 10 ISL matches for the Blasters last season. The central midfielder can be a big part of the Red and Gold Brigade as they look to bolster the team ahead of the new season. The player expressed his happiness after joining the club.

Jeakson has become the 8th signing for the Kolkata club. Jeakson also becomes the first player to arrive at the club after a transfer fee this season. The player will be officially unveiled at East Bengal ground ahead of East Bengal's CFL match on Friday.
