East Bengal's new signing Victor Vazquez says coming to the club was 'an easy decision' for him.
Vazquez, who has donned the shirts of Barcelona, scored a Champions League goal and has played alongside Lionel Messi, was roped in by the Kolkata giants in the January Transfer Window.

The player was present in the pre-match press conference on Thursday (February 8) and says coming to play in the ISL, especially for East Bengal was a no-brainer for him.
"I am very pleased to be here. It's a new challenge, I have played in MLS and I have been doing well. But it's a different challenge.
"I know Carles from before, I played with Dimas (East Bengal assistant coach) a very long time ago with the second team in Barcelona. The team is doing well and it was an easy decision for me to say 'I am coming'," Vazquez said on Thursday ahead of East Bengal's match against Northeast United.
The attacking midfielder is contracted for the final half of this season, but he is ready to give his all and help youngsters to improve them with his host of experience.
"I want to try to bring my quality to play for the team. Also with my experience, I want to try and help the young players. The youngsters need help from foreigners and experienced players. We have coaches but on the field, I have seen players like Saul, Cleiton and Pardo helping the young players to become better. So, I want to bring my quality, perform as well as possible and win trophies here in East Bengal," he added.
Given the credentials of the player, the 37-year-old can be a pivotal factor for the Red and Gold brigade this season. He is going to play the attacking midfielder role and his partnership with Cleiton Silva can be the key for success for Carles Cuadrat and his disciples.
When asked about whether he will be available for Saturday's match against NorthEast, the player chuckled and cleared that he still needs to adapt to the surroundings and that the decision will be taken on the day of the match.
East Bengal are presently sitting 9th in the ISL table with 12 points, but a win against the Highlanders can take them to 6th in the table and thus on the right side of the elusive playoff dream.
