Six goals scored but six goals conceded as well means East Bengal will finish third in the group ahead of Aizawl FC (1 point). It's now down to Hyderabad FC and Odisha to fight it out for the semifinal spot as they square off later in the evening at 8:30 PM IST in Manjeri.
Another second half disappointing display from East Bengal as they end another season empty handed. And a ninth spot in ISL followed by the group stage exit in Super Cup, there's not much positive to show from the Constantine era, except for the rise of Noarem Mahesh Singh as a star for the future.
FULL-TIME! With that draw, East Bengal have now been ruled out of the running for the semi-final spots!

It's all over! East Bengal are out of the Super Cup! The last match for Constantine in charge of East Bengal as the side once again squandered a two-goal lead to settle for a draw.
Aizawl are showing no urgency and are running the clock down while East Bengal are lacking imagination in attack with the changes not effecting the game much. Less than two minutes to go!
The referee adds six minutes of stoppage time as Mahesh plays Semboi free on the left flank. The resulting cross from the run was cleared by Aizawl's defense. Nevertheless, a dangerous cross. East Bengal desperately need that winner but the intent or urgency to score is not exactly there except for few players.
Mahesh plays Doherty free on the left channel, and the Australian midfielder cuts in for a shot on goal but the attempt lacks the power and rolls to the Aizawl goalkeeper for an easy save.
Constantine throws in the kitchen sink as Rakip and Semboi come in for Sumeet Passi and Tuhin
Substitute Himanshu Jangra with a run from the right flank for East Bengal. He gets better off his marker but fires the cross straight to the goalkeeper.
A controversial call by the referee! Aizawl defender B-Tea clearly handled the ball inside the box but the referee suggested otherwise. Nothing is going in East Bengal's favour now. A penalty there could have rejuvenated the side.
Can't say if East Bengal are trying their best with Aizawl dominating the game now. It seems out of reach now for East Bengal if things don't change quickly. Meanwhile Ivan Veras comes in for David.

East Bengal concede another corner as it has been a miserable second half display with David bothering defender Sarthak Golui a lot.
OFFSIDE! Aizawl caught East Bengal napping on the counter as David put the ball into the net on a rebound but was caught in an offside position. Just 15 minutes left!
The changes haven't work for East Bengal yet while Aizawl are on the hunt for hurting the side on the counter.
East Bengal make another change as midfielder Alex Lima is taken off for Australian midfielder Jordan O'Doherty.
Aizawl are piling on East Bengal's misery as they have parked the bus now, allowing no space for the Kolkata giants to exploit. About 20 minutes left for East Bengal to find four goals while VP Suhair has been taken off.
Time is fast running out for East Bengal and what's worse for the side is they are yet to win a corner this game against the underdogs.
Shambolic display in defence by East Bengal! Sarthak Golui loses ball near the box but Aizawl's effort for the goal was blocked by Chungnunga. But right after VP Suhair loses the ball near the box and this time Aizawl miss the far post attempt by a whisker. This is not helping their semifinal ambitions.
A forced change for Aizawl as Ramsanga is stretchered off after an injury and is replaced by defensive midfielder Eisuke
East Bengal shoulders have dropped after the goal as they need to score four goals to be back in the hunt for semis. Aizawl, on the other hand, are looking more threatening in the attack now.
East Bengal goalkeeper Kamaljit comes off his line to clear a ball but his clearance falls to Aizawl midfielder David, who shoots it at first attempt into an empty goal! East Bengal have surrendered their lead yet again
The players are back on the field and East Bengal, despite their defensive woes, need to focus on scoring three more goals at least and then defend with all their mights if they wish to progress further in the tournament.

Noarem Mahesh Singh and Cleiton Silva once again put in a good shift for East Bengal while Alex Lima and Sumeet Passi have made telling contributions as well. Passi has been enthusiastic as he is out to make his chance count. Aizawl, on the other hand, scored from a rare opportunity, reminding East Bengal that this game won't be a cakewalk for them as the side push for a win with four-goal difference. The side needs three more!

The referee blows the half time whistle! East Bengal head into the break with a lead again! Third time this tournament and they are yet to win the match, will that change for good today?

The match official adds three minutes of stoppage time! Will there be more goals in this half?
Hruaitea pulls one back for Aizawl! Scores on the rebound after Akito ran through the left flank to unlock East Bengal defence. A story being repeated throughout the tournament. East Bengal need to score three goals now to breathe easy.
CLEITON! Tuhin sets up the Brazilian forward with a pin point cross from the left flank but Cleiton couldn't keep his header on target. Did everything right there with his positioning and timing of the jump, only the accuracy was missing.
Aizawl are showing intent in attack since the water break as they push through the right wing but the inexperience in their attack shows up as those telling passes and movement inside the box are not there, at least not yet!
Another promising move by East Bengal! Cleiton and Mahesh link up through a nice one-two to start a counter but Mahesh's final cross into the box for the Brazilian was cut off by Aizawl captain Kimkima. Aizawl defence is on its toe here!
The referee calls for a water break in adverse weather conditions here in Manjeri. Aizawl attack is struggling to get into East Bengal box as the difference in quality is apparent. East Bengal remain in desperate hunt for two more goals to have a better shot at semifinal spot. Do take a look at the snap of Sumeet Passi's nice header for the goal below

East Bengal (2 points) are currently placed third on the table behind Odisha and Hyderabad FC, who are tied on four points each. This means Kolkata Giants will have to beat Aizawl by a four-goal margin and hope that Hyderabad and Odisha play out a draw later in the evening (8:30 PM kick-off).
Worst case scenario, East Bengal will at least have to win by a three-goal margin and hope that the other game sees a nil-nil draw or a stalemate. If any of Odisha and Hyderabad win their game, then East Bengal get knocked out as the winner of the match progresses to the semis.
East Bengal are at fault for their own plight as they squandered the lead in their first two group games, including a 3-3 draw against Hyderabad after taking a 3-1 draw by the end of the first half.
It's the East Bengal defence that has come into question as manager Stephen Constantine's favoured 4-4-2 formation has exposed the limitations of centre-backs Sarthak Golui and Lalchununga, who have often struggled to deal with the pace of foreign forwards and have been unconvincing in aerial duels as well.
The game against Hyderabad had positives to take from the attack as VP Suhair and Noarem Mahesh Singh put on a good show on the wings while the presence of foreign forwards Cleiton Silva and Jake Jervis as forwards has allowed the wing duo to express themselves more.
In midfield, Alex Lima has marshalled the centre of the park while somebody like Mobashir Rahman has done well in a box-to-box role. On Monday, they all need to click together and help out the defend in crisis. Aizawl FC, on the other hand, will play for pride as the bogey team of Group B are already out of the semifinal run.
