East Bengal vs George Telegraph, CFL 2023: Returning to action after a gap of 15 days, East Bengal developmental squad will look to keep their winning momentum intact in their last Group B match against George Telegraph in Calcutta Football League 2023 or Calcutta Premier Division at the East Bengal Ground in Kolkata on Thursday (September 7).

East Bengal, who are on an unbeaten run in CFL 2023, have their Super six spot sealed as they are currently at the top of the Group B with 27 points (eight wins, three draws) in 11 games and will progress to the Super Six stages as group toppers, unless they lose by a margin of five goals to George Telegraph, who are already out of title run with 11 points in 11 games.

This is also the last match of Group B for the season with Bhawanipore FC (27 points) and Kidderpore SC are the other two sides, who are through to the Super Six. Bino George's attack-at-all-cost approach helped in development of some unheralded names in Dip Saha, Avishek Kunjam, Aman CK, Kush Chhetry, Gurnaj Singh Grewal, Jesin TK, among others with Kunjam also in run for the golden boot with five goals to his name so far. However that hasn't confirmed his name in the line-up as the coach has a horses-for-courses approach.
