East Bengal vs Punjab FC Highlights, ISL 2023-24: EBFC 0-0 PFC at Full Time!

It ends stalemate at the Salt Lake Stadium despite all the intensity from both sides, especially in the first half! To the credit to Punjab defense, they frustrated the East Bengal attack-line with their sturdy show throughout the night. Centre-back Suresh Metei was awarded the Player of the match as well!
The lack of quality of the bench also is a worry for East Bengal as the likes of PV Vishnu and Aman CK are still a work in progress but giving them game time shapes up coach Carles Cuadrat's East Bengal for the season to come!
We fold our Live coverage on that note. Do join us tomorrow for another ISL match as Hyderabad FC take on NorthEast United tomorrow! Good night and good bye for now.
FT| We fought extremely hard, but couldn’t break the deadlock.

Emami East Bengal are hosting Punjab FC in their latest league stage match of the Indian Super League in matchweek 9 at the iconic Salt Lake Stadium, also known as the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, in Kolkata on Saturday (December 9).
East Bengal, who are on eight points from seven games, will fancy their chances of climbing to the sixth spot on the ISL 2023-24 points table with NorthEast United, whom they decimated 5-0 last week, occupying the spot with nine points.
Coach Carles Cuadrat has had a positive impact on the team, as evidenced by the apparent improvement in the performances of domestic players and the exciting football style that has enthralled the East Bengal FC supporters. The team was headed in the right direction, as evidenced by their impressive run to the Durand Cup final before the season.
They had a promising start to the ISL season as well, but there was a brief period during which they were unable to free themselves from the chains and cross the finish line. But following the international break, the team returned to the field revitalised, and in their previously mentioned victory over NEUFC, every member of the squad turned in a flawless performance.
Together with the victory, the team also gained the backing of the onlookers. If the visiting team lives up to the high expectations that the fans have of them, Kolkata, one of the oldest and most prominent sports hubs in India, could make for an intimidating atmosphere.
For Punjab FC, the match is all about picking their maiden ISL win since earning promotion before the season. Staikos Vergetis's side has played good football in patches but lack of temperament has often cost them points, including a 3-3 draw against Bengaluru FC despite taking a two-goal lead early in the match. The side has picked just four points in eight games.
