The final whistle blows and East Bengal's journey in the Durand Cup has ended in Shillong. The Lajong team have caused a major upset, beating the Kolkata giants 2-1.
Marcos Rudwere and Figo Syndai scored the goals for Lajong while Nandha Kumar scored the goal for East Bengal. The Torch Bearers will go back Kolkata without any future in the Durand Cup, while Lajong will also travel as they take on Northeast United in Kolkata.
