Eden Hazard demands new Chelsea deal with Real Madrid exit clause

Bengaluru, March 2: Belgian midfielder Eden Hazard has reportedly demanded a new Chelsea deal which will have an exit clause specifically for Real Madrid.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the playmaker is prepared to put pen to paper - but there is a twist. The Premier League defending champions are ready to pay Hazard £300,000-a-week but he will only sign if a release clause is put in the contract. And that clause will allow Hazard to move to Real Madrid for a pre-established price, different from his actual release clause in the deal.

The deal gives full control to Hazard to move to the Spanish capital while assuring Chelsea that'll he'll play for them till the deal occurs.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has been an admirer of Hazard for long and in recent times, indicated his intentions of seizing the 27-year-old Belgian.

Chelsea, after all, are not having a great season. They are already out of the EPL title race and are close to missing out on a Champions League spot as well. Coach Antonio Conte is also touted to be axed at the end of the season. And if that isn't enough, Hazard has failed to commit his future to the Stamford Bridge.

Hazard has been the only player making a difference for Chelsea this term in their relatively sub-par season, with 15 goals and nine assists in 38 appearances. He has spent six seasons with the Blues, winning two Premier League titles.
