Bengaluru, August 8: Chelsea started their season with a disappointing loss against arch rivals Arsenal in the FA Community Shield and are not looking in their best shape ahead of their Premier League campaign.
Amidst this, the fans will be worried with reports claiming that star player Eden Hazard is looking to push for a move to Real Madrid.
Spanish media are claiming that Hazard thinks that it is the ideal time for him to leave Chelsea and join his dream club Real Madrid and is keen on the transfer.
However, Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is said to prefer Monaco sensation Kylian Mbappe ahead of Eden Hazard as the French forward is 8 years younger to Hazard and would represent a long-term option.
Real Madrid are in look for a new forward and are prepared to let Gareth Bale leave, who is a target of both Manchester United and Chelsea.
Hazard is also a target of FC Barcelona, but not the priority target of the Catalans. The Blaugrana need to replace Brazilian superstar Neymar who left for PSG in world record transfer and prefer Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele to Hazard.
To add to the fans worries, Conte has admitted that he can't stop Eden Hazard from leaving the club for Barcelona if the Belgian wishes the same. The Italian manager has been quite vocal this summer against the Chelsea board regarding transfers for their poor approach in the market.
"Eden Hazard is a really top player, but I repeat I am the coach and I can give my opinion. But the final decision is always the club's," Conte said.
"I expect Eden to play for Chelsea. It is not the right moment to lose a player or players."
Will Hazard remain a Chelsea player? We will have to wait and see what future holds for the Belgian.
