EFL Cup Semi-Final 2023-24: It was down to the last four in the Carabao Cup as three Premier League teams and one championship team confirmed their berths in the semifinal of the annual knockout tournament.

Three former winners Liverpool, Chelsea and Middlesborough were joined by Fulham, who reached the last four stage for the first time, having lost their four previous quarter-finals.

Elsewhere, Fulham defeated fellow Premier League side Everton via a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw in regulation time at the Goodison on Tuesday (December 19) when Middlesborough eased past League One side Port Vale 3-0 at the Vale Park in Stoke-on-Trent.
