EFL Cup Semi-Final 2023-24: It was down to the last four in the Carabao Cup as three Premier League teams and one championship team confirmed their berths in the semifinal of the annual knockout tournament.
Three former winners Liverpool, Chelsea and Middlesborough were joined by Fulham, who reached the last four stage for the first time, having lost their four previous quarter-finals.

Chelsea booked their place in the Carabao Cup semi-final on Tuesday (December 19) via a penalty shoot-out win over Newcastle United after a 1-1 draw in regulation time at Stamford Bridge in London.

On Wednesday, Liverpool hammered a hapless West Ham side 5-1 to progress after a brace from Curtis Jones and a goal each from Dominik Szoboszlai, Cody Gakpo, and Mohamed Salah, while Jarred Bowen scored a consolation goal for the visitors in Anfield.
