Endrick father cries during Real Madrid presentation, shares heart-wrenching story

Brazilian sensation Endrick was represented formally to the fans at Real Madrid on Saturday (July 27).

The youngster joined the Spanish giants and his formal appearance and contract signing took place in Madrid.

The 18-year-old Brazil teenager has been a sensation and Real Madrid has paid a hefty transfer fee for his signature. It was a special day for Endrick and his family who were flown to Madrid for the occasion.

And during Endrick's official speech, his father couldn't hold back tears. At the Santiago Bernabeu, in front of 40,000 fans, it was indeed a memorable moment and the emotions took over Endrick's father and his other family members.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano shared the images of Endrick's father on social media which has gone viral.

It was revealed that Endrick comes from a very humble family in Brazil. His father shared a heart-wrenching story when asked about his emotional moment. He shared an incident when he couldn't feed his son properly and a child Endrick then promised him that he would become a footballer and improve their financial conditions.

"I still remember, one day Endrick was a kid... he asked me to eat something as he was like, 'dad, I'm so hungry'".

"I was on the sofa, then I was checking in the cabinet and in the fridge... and there was nothing to give him".

"I said: Endrick, my son, I have nothing. Then I started crying, he broke in tears too, he gave me a long hug".

"Then he took me and said: pai, don't worry, I will be a football player and I will bring you out of this trouble".

The dream has turned into reality for Douglas, the senior man of the Brazil international. Endrick will be looking forward to making greater contributions in football and it doesn't get bigger than Real Madrid. He will wear the no. 16 shirt at the Santiago Bernabeu, something which also has a deep connection with his father.

Douglas, during his working days as an assistant of a bricklayer, was pictured wearing a no. 16 shirt. Endrick made his Palmeiras debut with the same number and has continued the same numerical in Real Madrid as well.
