EPL 2012-13: Everton vs Newcastle United Preview

Liverpool, Sept 17: Both Everton and Newcastle United will be hoping to get back to winning ways when they lock horns at Goodison Park on Sunday.

Both teams have injury concerns especially to important players returning from international duty during the midweek break.

Everton midfielder Darren Gibson is out for five to six weeks with a thigh strain suffered on international duty with the Republic of Ireland.

The Toffees' deadline-day signing Bryan Oviedo is not yet eligible to play in England as he requires work permit and paper work to be done.

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew will have to cope without several injured players. Goalkeeper Tim Krul could miss a couple of games due to an elbow injury which he sustained during training with the Netherlands.

Centre-back Fabricio Coloccini is a major doubt after returning from Argentina with a hamstring strain. Toons midfielder Cheick Tiote has been doubtful since the start of the new season while Danny Simpson, Ryan Taylor, Haris Vuckic and striker Shola Ameobi are also out.
