London, Aug 31: Javi Garcia is set to sign for Manchester City, Joao Moutinho's move to Spurs stalls but they sign Liverpool target Clint Dempsey for £6million.

• The summer transfer window shuts down but there could still be a few moves taking place as Manchester City target Javi Garcia is set to complete a £16m transfer from Benfica.

• Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien is believed to have joined Real Madrid on a season-long loan.
  

• Fulham now have to replace Moussa Dembele and Clint Dempsey. The Cottagers want to sign Spurs midfielder Tom Huddleston and several other midfielders.
  

• Spurs have signed Clint Dempsey for £6million from Fulham as Joao Moutinho's transfer stalls.

• Matija Nastasic, 19-year old defender, has completed a sensational move to Manchester City from Fiorentina. City have sent defender Stefan Savic the other way in a £10m exchange move. The Premier League champions have now signed Maicon, Scott Sinclair and Nastasic.
