Rangers forward Junior Hoilett put the home side ahead in the second minute scoring his first league goal for the club but an own goal from Rangers goalkeeper Julio Cesar brought the Toffees back on level terms in the 33rd minute.

Mark Hughes' side couldn't find the winner despite late pressure and possession throughout the match. Everton had winger Steven Pienaar sent-off after collecting two yellow cards in the 61st minute.

Sunderland came back to clinch a point against 10-man Newcastle United after Demba Ba scored an own goal five minutes from time in an electrifying North East derby on Wearside.

Defender John O'Shea help the ball towards goal which in turn hit Ba and cruised past goalkeeper Tim Krul.

Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye put the visitors ahead in third minute but Sunderland were not able break the Magpies defence until five minutes from time.

Despite being a man down after Cheik Tiote was sent-off for a high-footed challenge on Steven Fletcher, the Black Cats created few chances to threaten the Magpies defenders.
