EPL: Spurs beat Arsenal, Man City keep title hopes alive

London, Mar 5: Roberto Mancini still feels the title race is on after a narrow win over strugglers Aston Villa on Monday night.

With 10 games left in the season, City reduced the gap on league leaders Manchester United to 12 points while Villa are in the bottom three with 24 points.

Tevez scored the winner at the stroke of half time. Ciaran Clark gave the ball away in his own half as an alert Edin Dzeko ran into the area and slipped the ball to Tevez and he faked to shoot and walked the ball towards goal.

Paul Lambert's side have won only one of their last 10 league games.

Tottenham beat Arsenal

Spurs created a seven-point gap against their North London rivals in the battle for Champions League qualification. Identical first half goals from Gareth Bale and Aaron Lennon in the space of three minutes proved vital for Spurs.

Per Mertesacker gave Arsenal some hope with his header deflected of Bale's head in the 51st minute. The German defender had scored previously against Spurs during Arsenal's 5-2 comeback last time out, but it was not the case at White Hart Lane as the Gunners dented their chances of Champions League football.

Bale netted his 10th in his past eight games and is single-handedly taking Spurs to the Champions League. With 10 games left Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is still hopefull to finish fourth with Chelsea five points clear at fourth.
