• Chelsea are considering a bid for Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric. The 27-year-old Croatia international claimed he is unsettled in the Spanish capital city and the Blues are preparing a £22 million offer to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

• Newcastle United captain Fabricio Coloccini has told the club that he wants to return to his homeland Argentina.

• Swansea City have made a £7m bid for Blackpool winger Tom Ince. The 20-year-old is heavily linked with former club Liverpool.

• Wesley Sneijder's agent has denied any deal with Turkey giants Galatasaray and claims there has been no talks between the two clubs. The Dutch star is also linked with a move to the Premier League.

• Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has urged the club to offer Carlos Tevez a new contract.

• West Ham United have completed the signing of Wellington Paulista from Cruzeiro. The 29-year-old Brazilian striker signed for the Hammers on an initial six-month loan spell.

• Hammers striker Carlton Cole has been told he is surplus at the club after the signing of Marouane Chamakh and Cruzeiro. Norwich City and Reading are interested to sign the 29-year-old.
