• Liverpool are preparing to launch a shock bid for Arsenal winger Theo Walcott during the January transfer market. Brendan Rodgers is ready to bid £8 million for the England international who is yet to sign a contract extension.

• Meanwhile, Chelsea have no intentions to sell striker Daniel Sturridge who is being targetted by Liverpool. The 23-year-old has fallen out-of-favour to first choice Fernando Torres but manager Roberto Di Matteo is not planning to offload him.
