Eriksen wants Spurs to forget the Arsenal defeat

Tottenham were favoured to win the north London derby and were criticised on multiple fronts after the 0-2 loss.

Bengaluru, November 21: Just like coach Maurico Pochettino, Tottenham Hotspur striker Christian Eriksen wants his team to forget the Premier League debacle against Arsenal and come back firing on all cylinders in the Champions League away tie against Borussia Dortmund.

"It's probably good that we have a game so quickly after the derby and you can have a bit of revenge -- you can show the world that you are a better than what you saw on Saturday," said Eriksen who played a key role for Denmark in securing the final European berth at next year's World Cup.

Tottenham were favoured to win the north London derby and were criticised on multiple fronts after the poor showing but Eriksen has welcomed the increased expectations saying it showed the club's improvement during his reign.

"The expectation now is that we win the Champions League and Premier League and I am happy with the pressure and the criticism," Eriksen added.

"It means people expect more of us. We know very well we have improved in every single aspect," added Eriksen, who scored a hat-trick in Denmark's 5-1 thrashing of a disjointed Ireland in their play-off second leg, which sealed his country a berth to Russia 2018.
