Manchester City have been dealt a major blow as star striker Erling Haaland's injury length is revealed by coach Pep Guardiola.
Manager Pep Guardiola confirmed the news ahead of City's Premier League clash against Leicester City on Wednesday.

The 24-year-old Norwegian, who has been a key figure in City's campaign with 21 goals in 28 Premier League matches this season, sustained the injury during the club's FA Cup quarter-final win over Bournemouth last weekend.
Guardiola, addressing the media on Tuesday, expressed disappointment over Haaland's absence and reflected on the challenges posed by a season riddled with injuries. In the press conference, Guardiola confirmed that the Norway striker is set to miss up to seven weeks of action due to an ankle injury.
"Sometimes there are years when these kinds of things happen. It happened all season. I would say that it could have been different if it was the end of the season (before the Club World Cup)," Guardiola said.
"They told me the doctors between five to seven weeks. So hopefully the end of the season and by the Club World Cup he will be ready," the Man City coach concluded.
City have been grappling with fitness concerns throughout the campaign, and Haaland's setback adds to their growing list of sidelined players. The striker's potential seven-week layoff means he could miss several crucial fixtures in the Premier League run-in and possibly parts of the Champions League semi-final, should City advance.
"So with all the injuries we have had this season, I'm so sorry for them and for Erling as well. So (I wish him) a good recovery, as speedy as possible, then come back," Guardiola added.
City will be hoping Haaland returns in time for the FIFA Club World Cup, which runs from June 14 to July 13. His absence, however, could be a significant hurdle as the defending champions look to keep pace in a tightly contested Premier League title race and chase more silverware in Europe.
