Portugal are being considered a favorite for this summer's Euro 2024. Cristiano Ronaldo and co. will face the Czech Republic at Leipzig Stadium on Tuesday evening. Portugal are expected to compete for the trophy in Germany. Hence, they will look to start the tournament with a win.

On the other hand, the Czech Republic will also look for a win as in a group with Portugal, they will have to fight with other members Turkey and Georgia to secure a spot in the knockout stages.

Portugal famously won Euro 2016, and they have advanced to the tournament's semifinals three times since. The Iberian nation then got knocked out from the 2022 World Cup quarter finals. Roberto Martinez took over shortly after the competition, and there have been plenty of encouraging indications under the Spaniard.

Cristiano Ronaldo and co. have lost two of their last four matches, but they are still heavy favourites to top their group. On the other hand, the Czech Republic are coming off a five-game winning streak in all competitions. Czech Republic finished second in Euro 1996, made the semi-finals in 2004, and advanced to the quarter-finals in two of their previous three tournaments.
