Cristiano Ronaldo was at his altruistic best in the Euro 2024 match against Turkey on Saturday (June 22).
Portugal registered a magnificent victory with a 3-0 scoreline against the Turkiye side and has now sealed their places in the Round of 16 of the Euro 2024.

And in the match, Cristiano Ronaldo played exquisitely. He was not at his best when it came to finishing, but the Portugal captain set up Bruno Fernandes for the third goal of the match.
Bernardo Silva opened the scoring for Portugal and Cristiano Ronaldo's flick-on played a part in that as well, but the ball came to Bernardo after a deflection. Ronaldo created 3 chances in the match and had a pretty huge impact on the game.
The 39-year-old was through on goal in the second half and as many thought the Portugal captain will take a crack at goal, he rolled it over to Bruno Fernandes who tapped it in comfortably for the goal.
But along with the assist, Cristiano Ronaldo has registered a new record in his illustrious career. The Portuguese now has the joint-most assists in Euros with 8 assists to his name. He has the most number of assists among the current active players in the continental competition.
Former Czech Republic player Karel Porborsky is the one who is sharing the summit spot in the assist chart along with Ronaldo, but the 39-year-old will have the undisputed lead when he assists another in the upcoming matches.
Ronaldo is now the oldest player to register an assist in the Euros at the age of 39 years, 138 days.
