The seventeenth edition of European Championship - Euro 2024 is down to two teams as Spain will lock horns with England in the title clash at the Olympiastadion Berlin in Germany on Sunday (July 14).
Spain sealed the final spot after goals from Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo completed a comeback 2-1 win over France in the first semi-final. La Rojas have remained perfect so far in the tournament, winning all their six matches heading into the summit clash.

England, on the other hand, came from a goal down to see off Netherlands 2-1 in the other semi-final to seal their second successive final at the European Championship. The Three Lions topped their group in the first round, but needed extra time and penalties during the knockouts to ensure their progress.
While the two sides prepare to clash for the title in the 17th edition of the tournament in Euro 2024 Final, here is a look at their previous record and their final appearances in the European Championship so far:
England has never won the European Championship so far, having reached the final only two times with their previous best being a runners up finish in 2020 when they lost to Italy in penalty shootout. In the early editions, England won the third-place playoff, beating Soviet Union in 1968.
Spain has won the European Championship a joint record three times so far, winning the title as hosts in 1964, beating Soviet Union, and most recently in 2008 and 2012, beating Germany and Italy in the final. The La Roja also finished runners up in 1984 when they lost to France.
As mentioned earlier, Spain are the joint record champions along with Germany, who have also won the Euros three times in the past 16 editions. Italy and France are the next most successful teams, having lifted the title two times each.
Russia, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Greece and Denmark are the other champions, who won the Euros once in the previous editions. England, Serbia and Belgium are the only teams to reach as far as the final and not win the title, finishing runners up at least once.
Germany also hold the record for most title clash appearances, having also finished runners up three times in addition to their three title wins in their 6 final matches. Spain, Italy and Russia also have reached the final four times. Here is a look at the Euro finalists:
