One of this year's favorites, France will face Poland, who have already been eliminated from Euro 2024. Didier Deschamps' team ranks second in Group D in terms of goals scored, just behind the Netherlands.

However, their Polish opponents are at the bottom of the table. With their last game against the European giants, they will undoubtedly be disappointed to become the first team eliminated from the tournament.

France have yet to perform their best in Euro 2024, with a tight 1-0 victory over Austria and a 0-0 stalemate against the Netherlands in their first two games. This has started casting doubt on their credentials as potential Euro 2024 victors. In fact, they should count themselves as lucky that they earned four points from those two games.

After such results, people have been criticizing Deschamps' team more. As per their current group table, France will have to win and if they don't, they will have to hope that Austria don't win against the Netherlands. On the other hand, Poland finished fourth in Group D after losing its first two games.

To be fair to coach Michal Probierz, record top scorer and appearance holder Robert Lewandowski doesn't seem to be fully recovered from a thigh injury. Poland's elimination at this level of the competition unfortunately maintains a pattern of poor performance at big competitions.
