The 2024 UEFA European Championship is knocking on the door, and one of the favourites to get the title, England is placed in Group C along with Denmark, Serbia and Slovenia.
Given the quality and depth of the squad England have, they will be the clear favourite to finish at the top of the group. On the other hand, Denmark, the winner of Euro 1992, will be the most probable choice for second place. For the other two competitors Serbia and Slovenia, it is quite unlikely that they will qualify for the knockouts. Also, both of them will be joining this competition after a long break of 24 years.

UEFA Euro 2024: Best Results, Strength and Squad Analysis
England
In this edition of Euro, England is one of the few teams, who have experienced star players in almost all of the positions. Harry Kane will lead the English attack along with Bukayo Saka, Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden who all have been in exceptional form in the last season. The Three Lions also have a boasting defence line-up consisting of players like John Stones, Kyle Walker, Harry Maguire and others.
It shouldn't be a difficult task for England to top the group, the only hurdle could be Denmark, whom they beat in the Euro 2020 semi-final. Though, despite having a fully fit squad, their performance in the last few matches showed there is a lot of room for improvement. Besides, their record to choke in the crucial games despite having a world-class squad could be a mental hindrance for them.
Denmark
Denmark is the potential dark horse of Group C. In the last Euro, they had to return home because of the defeat against England in the semi-final. It will be a chance for them to take revenge and snatch the top spot from the Three Lions. In the qualification round, they topped Group H with 7 wins in 10 matches. Besides having a formidable midfield, this Danish team have prodigious talent like Rasmus Hojlund in forward.
Serbia
It will be the first time this nation will join the European Championship as Serbia, the last time they played in this competition was as Serbia and Montenegro in 2000.
The Eastern European team won four of their eight matches in Group G in the qualification rounds and finished only behind Hungary. Despite having a talented attacking line-up it will be an uphill task for Serbia to go to the next rounds surpassing England and Denmark.
Slovenia
It will be the second time that Slovenia will compete in the European Championship. The last time they played was 24 years ago and had an early exit from the group stage. In the qualification round, they finished second in Group H, just behind Denmark with the same number of points.
Though they won't be picked as a favourite to go to the knockouts, Slovenia had a great run in the recent matches. They beat teams like Portugal and the USA this year. Any similar miracle from Slovenia in Euro 2024 could be a game-changer for Group C.
