Euro 2024: Kylian Mbappe unveils new France Mask in training ahead of Netherlands Match

France star Kylian Mbappe was seen wearing a French-coated mask during a training session ahead of their Euro 2024 match against Netherlands.

Les Bleus are set to take on the Dutch in a Group D match, but Mbappe's participation in the match is still under the smoke. The Frenchman broke his nose during the match against Austria, which jeopardized his chances.

But the striker was seen wearing a special protective mask in the training. During France's training on Thursday, one day before their big match against the Netherlands, Mbappé revealed his new mask. It wasn't the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle mask he had once been gifted. Instead, he wore a patriotic mask featuring the French flag's colours and pattern.

The mask had his initials "KM" on one side and his number 10 between two stars on the other. In the middle was the Gallic rooster, a national symbol of France that also appears on the French team's crest.

Regarding when Mbappe will debut his mask in a game, France coach Didier Deschamps sounded hopeful it could be against the Netherlands.

"Everything is going well after the shock we had," Deschamps said at Thursday's pre-match press conference.

"He was able to take part in some light exercises yesterday, and that will be the same this evening. Everything is evolving in the right direction," Deschamps added.

"We'll do all we can to ensure that he'll be available tomorrow," he concluded.

France secured a 2-1 victory over Austria and will be keen to replicate their performance against Netherlands. Mbappe himself is nearing a major milestone. The 25-year-old has netted 47 goals in 80 appearances for Les Bleus.
