Euro 2024: 'One Champion Predicts Another' - Kuldeep Yadav Makes Perfect Prediction - Watch

By MyKhel Staff

Kuldeep Yadav's football knowledge on point as Team India's T20 World Cup-winning spinner predicted Spain to beat England in a tight final to lift the Euro 2024 title at Berlin's Olympiastadion on Sunday (July 14) night.

Kuldeep, who is an avid follower of the sport, was in attendance for the title showdown between Spain and England in front of a packed audience in the capital city of Germany.

Kuldeep Yadav Euro 2024 Prediciton

Ahead of the finale, India's Euro 2024 broacast host asked Kuldeep to make his prediction and the wrist-spinner, who doesn't shy away from commenting on football via his social media account, said it would be a tight contest between two good teams, but picked Spain as his winner.

When the host asked who are you supporting tonight, Kuldeep said: "Look both teams are playing really well at the moment. Spain has been playing really well throughout this tournament.

"If they (Spain) play like that, the way they played all the games, I'm sure they can easily go past England. But you know the final is always tough," at this point the host further pushed him to pick him an outright winner rather than sitting on the fence.

When the host told Kuldeep to give something other than a diplomatic answer, Kuldeep said: "I'm supporting Spain and I think they will go past England and win 2-1," which in the end was the perfect prediction even with the scoreline ending the same.

Completing a tournament the team dominated from start to finish, Spain beat England 2-1 in the European Championship final on Sunday (July 14) with Mikel Oyarzabal the unlikely match-winner in the 86th minute.

Oyarzabal, a backup striker who came on as a substitute for captain Alvaro Morata, slid in to poke home a left-wing cross by Marc Cucurella, just when the game seemed destined for extra time.

Earlier, Nico Williams Jr had given Spain the lead right after the half time interval, striking in the 47th minute after a stalemate in the first half. Super Sub Cole Palmer, however, equalised in the 73rd minute after wonderful inter-change between Bukayo Saka and Jude Bellingham.

In the end, England continued their wait for a major title in the men's game since winning the 1966 World Cup, while Spain emerged as the kings of Europe, winning their record fourth European Championship.
