In the first semi-final of Euro 2024, two former champions and the strongest claimants to lift the trophy, are facing each other at the Munich Football Arena (Allianz Arena) in Munich, Germany, on Tuesday (July 9).
La Roja is the only semi-finalist who have won all of their prior matches in Euro 2024, including a 2-1 victory over the host Germany in Stuttgart in the quarter-final. Spain is the only side in this Euro that has won all five matches so far. Spain are joint-top in terms of goals (11) and total attempts (102). They are also at the top in terms of ball recovered (230), showcasing their dominance in both attack and defence.

As mentioned earlier, La Roja have been brilliant so far in this tournament. They placed in the Group of Death and yet managed to come on top ahead of Croatia and the defending champion Italy. La Roja are the only team to finish the group stage with nine points and zero goals conceded. Then they beat Georgia in Round-of-16 to face the host nation Germany in the quarterfinal, and defeated them in a 2-1 thriller.
