Italy begin their Euro 2024 journey against Albania on Saturday night. The reigning champions are in the group of death and the start to their campaign could have started with a much tougher match.
They will still not be taking this match lightly as even a single point could become the difference between second and third place in this group. Some players from both teams who could be key are -

Gianluigi Donnarumma
Gianluigi Donnarumma has had a mixed season this past year. He started in 42 games for PSG last season. He was a crucial part of the team for the most part of the season. However, his performances made it doubtful whether he would be playing but he is still expecged to start under the bar against Albania.
Armando Broja
Armando Broja played the past season for Chelsea and Fulham. With limited playing time, he may not have been the most impressive in the Premier League but the 22-year-old could still do some damage for his nation against Italy. He should be expected to lead the attack for Albania.
Nicolo Barella
Nicolo Barella was a crucial part of the Inter Milan midfield last season. Appearing in 48 matches for the Italian side in all competitions, he helped them win the domestic league, Serie A and the Italian Supercup. The 27-year-old midfielder is expected to start against Albania and play at the heart of the Azzurri midfield.
Berat Djimsiti
The captain of the Albanian team and a key player for the Italian club Atalanta’s defense, Berat Djimsiti could be a key player for his nation against Italy. He appeared in 54 matches for the Italian club throughout all competitions last season. He helped Atlanta secure a spot in the Champions League next season by finishing forth in Serie A. He also won Europa League last season with Atalanta.
