sThe UEFA Euro 2024 has seen a full week go by in a flash and the teams are already heading towards their fate in the competition.
While many teams have taken their step towards the next phase or are on the verge of it, a few have already lost the plot and staring down at the barrel of elimination.

After the first two rounds of group stage fixtures, the complexion of many groups got some daylight. But in case of Group E, the race for Round of 16 is still tightly packed as all four teams are stacked on 3 points with a match to play.
On June 23, Group A became the first group which completed its full quota of matches. Hosts Germany emerged as the Group winners, followed by Switzerland in the second place. Hungary scored a 100th-minute goal to snatch third place from Scotland and is still alive in the competition.
16 teams from the initial 24 will advance to the knockouts. The top two teams from each group get their nod while four best 3rd-placed teams will also advance to the next stage.
Germany and Switzerland have qualified for the knockouts from Group A.
From Group B, Italy and Spain have qualified as well. Italy joined Spain who finished top of the group.
From Group C, England, Denmark and Slovenia have advanced to the knockout stages.
From Group D, France and Austria qualified for the knockouts and the latter topped the group. Netherlands, who finished 3rd in the group are also through to the Round of 16 of the Euro 2024.
Portugal is already through to the Round of 16 as well and they have gone through as Group winners.

Six bottom teams of the six groups and two bottom among the 3rd-placed teams of Euro 2024 will be eliminated from Euro 2024. At the moment, the eliminated teams are three in the Euro 2024.
Scotland (Group A), Albania (Group B), Serbia (Group C) and Poland (Group D) are the confirmed teams who are eliminated at the moment.
