Spain is set to take on England in the final of Euro 2024. The match will be played at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on Sunday (July 14).
And for the upcoming Euro final, UEFA has appointed the referee, who will officiate the crucial encounter.

French referee Francois Letexier has been chosen by UEFA to officiate the European Championship final between Spain and England. At 35, he is among the youngest referees to oversee a major final. The match will take place on Sunday at Berlin's Olympiastadion.
The French referee is 35 years old, which makes him the youngest referee to officiate a Euro final.
During Euro 2024, Letexier refereed three matches, including Spain's 4-1 victory over Georgia in the round of 16. In these games, he did not award any penalty kicks or send off any players. He issued only ten yellow cards, one of which was given to Serbia's Aleksandar Mitrovic for diving in a goalless draw against Denmark.
Notably, there were no video review controversies in any of Letexier's matches, including the 2-2 draw between Albania and Croatia. This highlights his ability to manage games smoothly without major disputes.
Letexier rarely shows red cards; he issued just one in nine Champions League or Europa League games last season. The red card was given to Bayern Munich's Dayot Upamecano. His significant matches this season include Real Madrid and Manchester City's 3-3 draw in the Champions League quarterfinals and Bayer Leverkusen's 2-0 win at Roma in the Europa League semifinals.
The VAR specialist for the final is also French, Jerme Brisard. This pairing aims to ensure a fair and smooth match with minimal controversies.
Szymon Marciniak from Poland will serve as the fourth official for the final. Marciniak has had a notable career, having officiated the 2022 World Cup final and the 2023 Champions League final.
