Italy have faced setbacks with injuries to key defenders ahead of the tournament. Inter Milan's Francesco Acerbi has been ruled out due to a groin injury, and recently, Atalanta's Giorgio Scalvini has also been sidelined. These absences will be a challenge for the Azzurri as they aim to strengthen their defense.

The Euro 2024 campaign for Italy kicks off on June 15 against Albania, followed by matches against Spain and Croatia.
