Kolkata, March 18: Merseysiders Everton are reportedly set to offer Jack Wilshere a massive £8 million sign-on fee to join from Arsenal on a free transfer in the summer.

The 26-year-old, Wilshere is out of contract with the Gunners at the end of the season and has been offered new terms, but, reports in England claim that the Toffees are ready to break the bank to lure the England midfielder to Goodison Park.

Arsenal have told Wilshere he must take a pay-cut on his £110,000-a-week wages if he wants to stay at the Emirates.

But his contract will also give him a chance to increase his pay with bonus payments and appearance money.

Everton are not the only club interested in Wilshere with Italian giants Juventus also reportedly looking.

The local rivals of Everton, Liverpool, are also interested in landing the England international.

Wilshere has returned to some of the best form of his career and has managed to stay injury free for the majority of the season.

And he has also been rewarded by Gareth Southgate who has called him up to the Three Lions squad for the World Cup warm-ups against Holland and Italy.

Wilshere said: “I knew what I had to do.

“Not just the England manager, but the Arsenal manager made it clear what he wanted from me. He wanted me to prove my fitness. And I think I have done that now."

Everton have struggled this season despite spending a fortune on top players like Rooney, Sigurdsson and many more.

The Toffees have failed to show any kind of consistency in their game and despite a significant improvement under Sam Allardyce, the fans are unhappy with his approach to the game.

Despite the fact that Big Sam's future at Goodison Park is hanging in the balance, Wilshere would surely be a great signing for them thanks to his experience at a top club and also he is just 26 years of age.
