Everton have decided to secure Carlos Alcaraz on a permanent basis after his loan from Flamengo ends in June. The 22-year-old Argentine will remain with the Toffees until June 2027. During his loan, Alcaraz contributed significantly with five goal involvements, including two goals and three assists, across 16 matches in all competitions.
Alcaraz's performance was notable, especially with his crucial goal against Newcastle United on the Premier League's final day. This goal helped Everton achieve a third consecutive victory and secure a 13th-place finish. His contributions were vital for the team's success during this period.

Despite joining Everton in February, Alcaraz managed to make a significant impact compared to his attacking teammates. He recorded the fourth-most shots on target (11) among players like Beto, Iliman Ndiaye, Dwight McNeil, and Jack Harrison. Additionally, he shared the second-highest number of assists in the league.
However, Alcaraz's shot conversion rate stood at only 7.7%, which was higher than only Harrison's among these players. From 26 shots taken, he accumulated just 1.7 expected goals (xG). Despite these figures, his overall contribution remained valuable to the team.
Before joining Everton on loan, Alcaraz played for Flamengo, where he joined in August last year. During his time there, he scored three goals and provided two assists over 19 games. He also celebrated winning the Copa do Brasil before moving to Everton.
The decision to sign Alcaraz permanently reflects Everton's confidence in his abilities and potential future contributions. His performances have shown promise and suggest that he could be an essential player for the club moving forward.
