FC Barcelona: What changes could Hansi Flick bring to Barca?

FC Barcelona are set to lose their head coach Xavi at the end of this season. The Catalan club is still in the process of finding his replacement. There are a few options, but Hansi Flick could win the race for that position.

If Flick arrives at Barca, their playing style will change to a great extent. With Xavi at the helm, Barcelona have been playing a similar style to their old form of play. However, that doesn't seem to be working.

Hansi Flick is known for playing an aggressive attacking style of game. Hence, if he arrives at FC Barcelona and takes the reins, he will integrate a more attacking approach which should see Barcelona play games with more pace.

If Flick can integrate his style into Barca’s current passing form of play, a more counter-attacking game should also be seen. If history's any indication, that should work wonderfully for the Catalan side.

When Luis Enrique arrived at FC Barcelona, the club was struggling with their familiar play of passing game which almost all clubs knew by then. Hence, it was easy to get one over the mighty La Blaugrana who won the treble not too long before then.

Lucho saw their passing game and took a little more attacking approach which saw FCaBarcelona play more counter-attacking games. The gameplay especially thrived with Luis Suarez, Neymar Jr., and Lionel Messi leading in the front.

Even though Barcelona don't have the same firepower, they still have some top-class footballers in their midst. Robert Lewandowski, Ilkay Gundogan, Pedri, Gavi, Ferran Torres, Lamine Yamal, and more are some of the best players that can help succeed Flick’s gameplay.

Lewandowski is one of this generation's best strikers. In his first season in La Liga, he won the Pichichi, but since then, his performance has dropped. Flick coached him during his time at Bayern Munich and could bring out his best again.
