Manchester United's head coach, Ruben Amorim, has firmly stated that Bruno Fernandes will remain with the club. Despite rumours of a potential move to Real Madrid, Amorim is confident in Fernandes' commitment. The United captain has been outstanding this season, netting 16 goals in 44 games. Since joining the club, he has scored 95 goals and provided 81 assists in 277 appearances.
In the Premier League, Fernandes ranks third for goal involvements since his debut in February 2020, with a total of 112. Amorim addressed speculation about Fernandes joining Real Madrid by saying: "No, it's not going to happen." He emphasised the importance of retaining key players like Fernandes to compete for the Premier League title.

"That is the challenge. I want Bruno here because we want to win the Premier League again so we want the best players," Amorim stated. At 30 years old, Fernandes remains fit and consistently contributes with at least 30 goals or assists each season. Amorim assured fans that Fernandes is content at Manchester United.
While Amorim was clear about Fernandes' future, he was less definitive regarding Marcus Rashford's situation. Rashford is currently on loan at Aston Villa and may not return to Manchester United. "He's a top player if he wants," said Amorim. Similarly, Antony is on loan at Real Betis, showcasing his skills in a different environment.
Amorim appreciates seeing players excel while on loan as it reflects positively on the club's development strategy. However, he prefers to focus on immediate challenges rather than future plans. "I'm planning the future but I don't want to talk about the future at this moment," he mentioned.
Manchester United are preparing for their upcoming match against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday. Currently enjoying a four-match unbeaten streak in the Premier League, they aim to continue their strong performance against third-placed Nottingham Forest.
Amorim believes that Fernandes' visible frustration during matches is a testament to his desire for success. "Sometimes, the frustration that everybody sees and [they] maybe say is not a good thing in a captain, but it's a sign he wants this [success] so bad," Amorim explained.
The coach reassured fans that Fernandes' passion and dedication are vital for Manchester United's ambitions. As they prepare for their next game, maintaining momentum is crucial for their ongoing success in the league.
