Ferran Torres Responds To PSG Links: He Does Not Care About Transfer Speculation
Ferran Torres says speculation over a possible transfer from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain is not a concern, stressing full attention on Spain’s World Cup campaign. Torres insists the focus stays on the opening match against Cape Verde on Monday.
The forward explains that discussion around a move to PSG can wait, even as reports in Europe link the French champions with a formal approach. Torres underlines that Spain’s preparation and a positive World Cup start matter more right now.

The Spaniard’s current deal with Barcelona runs until 2027, which gives the club security amid transfer interest. Paris Saint-Germain, the reigning European champions, are reported to be tracking Torres, attracted by recent form and prior links with Luis Enrique.
A transfer to the French capital would reunite Torres with Luis Enrique, after their time together with the Spanish national team. That previous relationship is viewed as a factor behind PSG’s interest, although Torres publicly distances himself from the speculation for now.
During the 2025-26 season, Torres plays a key part as Barcelona secure a second straight LaLiga title. The forward becomes first-choice striker, regularly starting ahead of Robert Lewandowski, who departs Camp Nou when the campaign ends.
Torres finishes the season with 21 goals in all competitions, the second-highest tally at Barcelona. Only Lamine Yamal scores more, with 24. Marc Bernal posts the best shot conversion rate at 33.3%, while Torres records a strong figure of 21.7%.

| Player | Goals (all competitions) | Shot conversion rate |
|---|---|---|
| Lamine Yamal | 24 | - |
| Ferran Torres | 21 | 21.7% |
| Marc Bernal | - | 33.3% |
Barcelona highlight Torres’ impact by sharing a season clip on social media, labelling the forward "The Shark". The club underline Torres’ sharp finishing and movement, reflecting the numbers that place the striker among their most clinical players.
Asked about renewed links to Paris Saint-Germain, Torres responds directly, separating club matters from international duty. Torres says: "I don't know, and I don't care right now. [Spain's World Cup opener against Cape Verde] is the important thing, getting the three points, having a good debut... [Where do I see myself?] Playing against Cape Verde [on Monday]."
Torres therefore presents a clear stance: club discussions, including any move from Barcelona to PSG, can wait until after Spain’s tasks. For now, the striker’s attention stays on performing for Spain and turning domestic form into World Cup impact.
