The FIFA Club World Cup 2023 will be taking place in Saudi Arabia and will see seven clubs across the globe fighting for glory in the knockout tournament.

This year, it promises to be an exciting spectacle in the middle-east and the schedule was announced on Monday (September 4).

FIFA Club World Cup 2023 Teams

There will be 7 teams taking part in the Club World Cup this year. They are -

1. Manchester City (UEFA)

2. Al Ahly (CAF)

3. Club Leon (CONCACAF)

4. Urawa Red Diamonds (AFC)

5. Auckland City (OFC)

6. Al-Ittihad (AFC) (Host)

7. TBA (CONBEMOL)

Auckland City and Al-Ittihad will kickstart the campaign in the first round. In the second round, three teams - Urawa Red Diamonds, Club Leon and Al Ahly will enter. One of them will play the winners of the Auckland vs Al-Ittihad match, while the other two take on each other.

After that, in the semifinals, the final two teams from UEFA and CONBEMOL enter. Here the two clubs, namely Man City and the CONBEMOL team will take on the winners of two second round matches.

Finally it will be followed by a 3rd/4th placed match and the Final.

The FIFA Club World Cup 2023 will be played from December 12 to December 22 in Saudi Arabia.

Jeddah was picked as the venue for the FIFA Club World Cup 2023. Two stadiums of Jeddah, namely King Abdullah Sports City and Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium will host the matches.
